How Our Music Curriculum Works

 

We are a Music Mark school. 

We have achieved the Music Mark!  This is in recognition of our commitment to providing a high quality musical education to our children.  We had to prove the excellence or our provision in a number of areas and we are super proud!

Instrumental Tuition

Last year, all our children from Year Two upwards had the opportunity to play an instrument and had an instrumental lesson each week.  Year Two learned a variety of tuned and untuned percussion instruments,  Year Three learned the recorder and djembe drums, Year Four learned the djembe drums and Years Five and Six played the ukulele.  This year, our Year Fives are learning the ukulele at the moment and more children will have the opportunity to play an instrument as the year progresses.
